This September, the Heritage Network is holding their annual conference in Belfast and Armagh. The conference is about the impact of community-led heritage on people and places, explored through the experience of heritage regeneration in the host cities and beyond. It explores the vital topics of funding and business planning, community engagement, access and inclusion, governance and succession, regeneration and place-making.

It attracts community heritage leaders, major heritage agencies and funders, local authorities, heritage businesses and early-career professionals, meaning attendees can Network and make the connections they need whatever their role.

David Tittle, Chief Executive at Heritage Network says “It will be great to bring so many people in Northern Ireland together for 3 days of networking, learning and socialising and I know we will be visiting some amazing historic sites. For anyone working in regeneration, community development or the historic environment, Heritage Network Conference is the one event where you will get inspired, get lots of information about potential of community-led heritage regeneration and the connections that you will need to help you in your work.”

The Conference will start in Belfast on 27th September with a series of tours of historic sites and current heritage projects happening in the city and will continue Monday 28th at the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre. The main conference day involves lots of opportunities for networking, training and development.

The membership organisation offers support in the form of peer-to-peer networking, advice, training and resources to help organisations succeed in their work. They know that there are lots of other organisations across Northern Ireland who could benefit from becoming a member and encourage attendance at the conference.
